Management quota is
1) Illegal [donations are illegal acc. to UGC , and for which they can be deaffiliated ].
2) It affects more people as private colleges comprise 70% of the total seats.
3) It divides rich and poor people [as u say reservations should be provided to poor, here it is reservation for the rich].
4) It compromises merit and SC/ST quota acc to u just satisfies last 2 points but its not illegal.
BUT STILL SOME PEOPLE PROTEST AGAINST SC/ST QUOTA [EVEN STUDENTS JUSTIFY DISCRIMINATION IN COLLEGES AGAINST SC/STs BECAUSE OF THEIR QUOTA], AND DO NOT RAISE THEIR VOICES AGAINST MANAGEMENT QUOTA. THEY SAY SC/ST DOCTORS ARE NOT CAPABLE OF TREATING PEOPLE AND DO NOT SAY SO FOR MANAGEMENT QUOTA GUYS, WHO BUY SEATS AND GET MBBS DEGREE FROM A PRIVATE COLLEGE RUNNING IN SUBSTANDARD CONDITIONS. THEY DO NOT SAY SO ABOUT DEFENCE GUYS, GOVT QUOTA GUYS , NRI QUOTA GUY'S. IF ACCORDING TO THEM, SC/STs DESERVE DISCRIMINATION BECAUSE OF THEIR QUOTA, WHY DON'T THEY TREAT MANAGEMENT, DEFENCE, GOVERNMENT, HANDICAPPED, AND NRI QUOTA GUYS THIS WAY.
MOST ANTI-RESERVATIONISTS MAY NOT KNOW THIS:
GOVT QUOTA AND NRI PEOPLE GET SEATS IN CENTRAL COLLEGES WITHOUT EVEN HAVING TO APPEAR FOR THE ENTRANCE EXAMS. HANDICAPPED QUOTA MERIT LIST GOES LOWER THAN SC/ST QUOTA AND DEFENCE QUOTA MERIT IS SOMETIMES LOWER , AND MOST TIMES AROUND SC QUOTA.
THIS SHOWS THE HOLLOWNESS AND GREED OF ANTI-RESERVATIONISTS.

i do agree ,as it is stated that managment quota is hided & it should be brought into limelight.
And certainly,Defence quota unlike SC/ST,is just 1 or 2%in many colleges.So that fact is ,the % is very less;Defence kids should be atleast priviledge of this.whereas SC/ST ppl have 15 to 20 % reservation,whch is unfair. and they get the seat just coz of the quota.RESERVATION CAN BE GIVEN TO CERTAIN CATAGORIES LIKE DEFENCE OR PHYSICALLY HANDICAPPED WITH LESS % OF RESERVATION WHICH IS EXISTING UNLIKE FOR SC/ST.
the percentage of quota is nt decided on how much priviledge should be given to different groups.
SC/STs comprise of 25% pop of the country and their share is in single digits in participation. While Defence ppl dont even comprise 1% of the pop of the country.
and the priviledge is given to one who is not contributing to the defence ie his wards.
In defence quota, many times the cut off percentage falls below sc catg. Even in my year of entrance of Delhi college of engineering rank one of defence quota scored 370 while rank one of sc scored 430
and there were at least 5 sc students scoring more than rank one of defence cat.
